The University will be implementing a campus wide power outage on Saturday,
October 26, Sunday, October 27 and Saturday, November 16, 2024.
We inform you about computer and network system operations in this period as follows.

■　Tsukuba Campus Network System
While the main network system will continue to work through this period. While the main network system will continue to work through this period, the floor switches will turn off and it will be impossible to gain access via the campus common areas or classrooms (On-Campus Wi-Fi System will be inoperable due to the power cut off) as follows.

North, Central, South and West Areas (excluding Ichinoya, Hirasuna and Oikoshi Dormitories)
Saturday October 26 7:00 – 18:00
Sunday October 27 7:00 – 18:00
Kasuga Area (including Kasuga Dormitory)
Saturday November 16 8:30 – 16:30

Emails coming from outside the university system will be delivered as soon as the department server is back online provided the server is set to receive emails through the mail gateway. Otherwise, the e-mails may be returned to the sender depending on the configuration of servers along the delivery path.

The network of the other areas including Tokyo campus will not be affected, but it will, naturally, be impossible to connect to the suspended servers due to the power outage in the Tsukuba Campus area.

■　Zengaku Computer System
Basic server functions (mail, web, etc.) are available as usual.
Satellites computer rooms are not available.

■　The Learning Management System (manaba) will operate as normal. However, “movie button” will be inactive during the following period:
18:00 on Friday, October 25 to 8:40 on Monday, October 28

■　The Remote Lecture/Automatic Recording Lecture System will be interrupted during the following period:
18:00 on Friday, October 25 to 8:40 on Monday, October 28

■　The Educational Cloud System will be operated as normal.

■　The TSUKUBA OCW will be operated as normal.

■　Rental server services will be operated as normal.

■　UTOS System will be operated as normal.
