Formerly called the &#8220;Authenticated Network System&#8221;, we changed its name to avoid confusion. The authentication methods were also changed on July 22, 2010.<\/p>\n<p>For information on <a href=\"\/wp_e\/service\/guide#area\">available access areas<\/a> and <a href=\"\/wp_e\/service\/guide#user\">user eligibility<\/a>, see the User&#8217;s Guide.<\/p>\n<h2>Important:<\/h2>\n<p>Please refer to the <a href=\"\/wp_e\/service\/notice\">relevant notes<\/a> prior to usage.<\/p>\n<h2>Before you connect: step-by-step instructions<\/h2>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A PC equipped with a 10Base-T, 100Base-TX, or 1000Base-T wired LAN connection<\/li>\n<li>LAN cable (UTP, standard straight type)<\/li>\n<li>Web-browsing software<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Pre-configuration<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Set your OS to automatically acquire its IP address from a DHCP server.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How to connect<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Connect one end of the LAN cable to your PC&#8217;s LAN interface and the other end to the information outlet in a classroom.<\/li>\n<li>Access the following URL page via Web browser and press the button after you have carefully read and agree to the terms of use. (Note: the login page will be displayed only when your devices is connected with Zengaku (University-wide) Information Outlet and Network System.)<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/webauth05.cc.tsukuba.ac.jp:8443\">https:\/\/webauth05.cc.tsukuba.ac.jp:8443<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Enter your <a href=\"\/wp_e\/service\/guide#id\">user ID (UTID-13) and password<\/a> on the next page and press the &#8220;Login&#8221; button. Your PC will be connected if successful.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Limitations<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Our university does not allow any in-bound connections whose destination ports are 1-1023\/TCP or in the 1-1023\/UDP range.
