Instead, it requires a periodic license authentication granted by the license authentication servers (KMS Host) in the university.<br \/>\nIn order to prevent unauthorized license authentication, information such as the time of license activation, PC IP address, PC name, and terminal unique ID is recorded.<br \/>\n\u53c2\u8003\uff1a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cc.tsukuba.ac.jp\/wp_e\/wp-content\/uploads\/period_en.png\">license authentication period<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Check the status of License Authentication<\/h2>\n<h3>Windows OS\uff08Windows 10\uff09<\/h3>\n<p>Click \u201cstart\u201d and choose \u201cSettings&#8221; &gt; &#8220;Update &#038; Security&#8221; and choose &#8220;Activation&#8221;. The activation status is displayed in the &#8220;Windows&#8221; section.<\/p>\n<h3>Office<\/h3>\n<p>Launch an Office application (Word, Excel, etc.) and click \u201cOpen Other \u3007\u3007\u201d from the menu on the left. Click \u201cAccount\u201d or \u201cHelp\u201d from the menu on the left side.<br \/>\nThe current activation status is displayed in [Product Information].\t<\/p>\n<h3>Office for Mac<\/h3>\n<p>Click \u201cVersion Information\u201d in the application menu (next to the apple mark). If the license item is &#8220;Volume License 201x&#8221;, it is an EES license.<\/p>\n<h2>If authentication fails<\/h2>\n<p>In normal conditions, the installer of our university should set KMS Host automatically, however, it could fail to register.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Check1 \uff1a <strong>Set the time zone to [UTC+09:00] (Osaka, Sapporo, Tokyo)<\/strong> in the time setting (including time zone) on your PC and <strong>make it set properly to the current time<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Check 2 \uff1aConnection settings (firewall) of your anti-virus software might be restricting connection with the server outside. If that is the case, please change your settings to allow connection. Set the firewall so that it can connect to TCP\/1688 of the KMS Host (kms.cc.tsukuba.ac.jp).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If your problems are still unsolved, please verify your license through one of the following methods.<\/p>\n<h3>Method 1\uff1aInstalling a registry file<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Download <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cc.tsukuba.ac.jp\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/kms.zip\">kms.zip<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Double click kms.reg in the folder kms by unzipping the download zip file. If the &#8220;Security Warning&#8221; screen is displayed, click &#8220;Execute&#8221;. If the User Account Control screen is displayed, click &#8220;Yes&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>The Registry Editor screen is displayed. Click &#8220;Yes&#8221; to the question &#8220;Do you want to continue?&#8221;.
