\u203bThis page provides information on KMS license authentication, which is used to activate Office LTSC (2024) and the Windows OS upgrade version. It does not apply to license authentication for Microsoft 365 Office.<\/p>\n
The University of Tsukuba uses KMS (Key Management Service) license authentication method.
\nIt does not require users to enter a product key when installing. Instead, it requires a periodic license authentication granted by the license authentication servers (KMS Host) in the university. This server can only be accessed from the on-campus network (including access through the Academic Computing and Communications Center\u2019s VPN service client).<\/p>\n
In order to prevent unauthorized license authentication, information such as the time of license activation, PC IP address, PC name, and terminal unique ID is recorded. Click \u201cstart\u201d and choose \u201cSettings” > “System” and choose “Activation”. Check “Activation state”.<\/p>\n Launch an Office application (Word, Excel, etc.) and click \u201cOpen Other \u3007\u3007\u201d from the menu on the left. Click \u201cAccount\u201d or \u201cHelp\u201d from the menu on the left side. Click \u201cVersion Information\u201d in the application menu (next to the apple mark).
