Student Residence Hall Network SystemInformation outlets equipped in Hirasuna, Oikoshi, Ichinoya, and Kasuga student residences are provided as part of the Student Residence Hall Network System. For information on available access areas and user eligibility, see the User's Guide. Please note that authentication methods have been changed due to our system renewal on March 30, 2010. Use of anti-virus software is strongly recommendedFor safe network usage, the University of Tsukuba distributes anti-virus software (Windows) to all students in the dormitories. All residents must install this anti-virus software on thier PCs before connecting to the network. Detailed information is available on the Guide for Anti-virus Software for Student Residents page. Use of peer-to-peer file sharing software is strongly prohibitedThe University of Tsukuba does not permit the use of P2P file sharing software. Please note that we remotely monitor network utilization at all times. Support in case of problemsACCC offers support for network problems weekdays from 8:45 to 17:15 (except during lunch break). Generally, if a problem is reported in the morning, it will be handled in the afternoon; if in the afternoon, the next working day morning.
