Since May 11, 2026, the University of Tsukuba has been a member of the Adobe Creative Campus program and has provided all students with access to Adobe Express.

Overview

The University’s Adobe licensing program consists of the following two offerings:

• Adobe Express
• Adobe Creative Cloud

Adobe Express

Adobe Express is a creative content creation subscription service available on both computers and mobile devices. By leveraging generative AI, templates, and creative assets, users can easily create presentations, videos, flyers, web pages, and more through an intuitive and user-friendly interface.

Adobe Creative Cloud

Adobe Creative Cloud is a subscription service that includes more than 20 applications and online services for generative AI, video production, image editing, graphic design, and other creative workflows.

Adobe Express

Adobe Express is available to all students without any application or approval process.

How to Access Adobe Express

Login at:

https://express.adobe.com/a/u.tsukuba.ac.jp

Use your Microsoft 365 account credentials (UTID-NAME@u.tsukuba.ac.jp) and password. If prompted to choose an account type, select:

• Work or School Account (not Personal Account)
• UNIVERSITY OF TSUKUBA
• Student / Staff

Because Adobe Express is a web-based application, no installation is required on a computer. Simply access it through a web browser. For smartphones and tablets, install the free Adobe Express app.

Students may use Adobe Express on both university-owned and personal devices by signing in with their University of Tsukuba Microsoft 365 account.

Adobe Creative Cloud Products

As a general rule, Adobe Creative Cloud licenses under the University’s enterprise agreement are not provided to all students. However, students may be eligible to use Adobe Creative Cloud under one of the following arrangements.

1. Shared Device License on the University-Wide Computing System

Available Applications

• Acrobat Pro
• Photoshop
• Illustrator
• InDesign
• Premiere Pro
• After Effects
• Media Encoder
• Bridge
• Adobe Fonts

How to Use

After logging in to a University-Wide Computing System PC, launch the desired application and sign in when prompted.

Note: Only Acrobat Reader is available through remote desktop access.

2. Adobe CC for Lab

Eligibility and Restrictions

• Installation is permitted only on university-owned computers, such as those in laboratories and research facilities.
• Installation on personally owned devices is prohibited and constitutes a license violation.
• Use is restricted to devices operating within the University’s IP address range.

Administrative Requirements

Faculty or staff members must:

• Download and install the software.
• Manage the installation.
• Uninstall the software before disposal of the PC.

After installation, users can access the software by signing in through the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop application.

3. Adobe Creative Cloud Student License

(Licenses are assigned for a limited period and will be revoked when the assignment period ends.)

This license is provided to students who meet one of the following conditions:

(a) License Sponsored by an Academic Unit

When a department, program, or other educational organization covers the licensing cost.

• License validity: Through the end of the academic year.

(b) Enrollment in a Designated Course

When students are enrolled in a specific course that requires Adobe Creative Cloud.

• License validity: Through the end of the semester in which the course is offered.

Note: Eligible students will be notified directly by the responsible department, instructor, or program administrator.

Once the license has been assigned, students may sign in through the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop application to access the software.

Licenses Provided by Individual Academic Programs

In addition to the arrangements described above, some colleges, degree programs, departments, or other educational units may independently provide Adobe licenses to their students.

Students who receive such licenses should be notified directly by the relevant academic unit or instructor.

Please note that the Academic Computing and Communications Center cannot provide information regarding licenses administered separately by individual educational organizations.
